Re: Graphs

To my knowledge there is not a way to plot graphs on a touch panel with simpl+ like you would in another language. I think that's where you are going with this, correct me if I'm wrong. You will need to build the graphics in VTPro and drive them with your analogs. You might have to do some math to get it to look right but you can definitely make something that looks good. For example at my old company we were working with some energy management software and we were able to parse a data stream from them and show real-time data for energy consumption. We used VTPro bar-graphs and gauges to show all the information after we did a little conversion.

I know the new fusion software does this but I don't have a server or the time to even think about playing with that at this stage. Any help would be really appreciated and paid for.

Google Charts API is one option. Otherwise you're into custom Core3
control territory.

Makes all the difference. Airplay works amazing with a solid WIFI infrastructure. You can roam throughout the house etc.

I'm wondering how many of the AirPlay problems I see (random disconnect, disconnect while roaming, AirPlay 'sink' not appearing in the list) are related to the small-biz class and lower network hardware most of our jobs are using...and if so, can I convince somebody to listen to me and sell/buy a better solution (probably not).

Was hopeful for the Unifi/EdgeMax stuff because it's at a comparable price-point to what customers seem to expect/be willing to stomach around here.

Does any of you guys have extensively rolled out airplay solutions and never got a call?

Crestron at one time mentioned (in-wall) docks for the iPad mini, but I haven't seen anything regarding Lightning or new form-factor's in a while.

With Simpl# / SimplPro coming online in the future, is there any possibility of utilizing the stereo-outs on the MC3 for things like a Pandora client, AirPlay client, etc?

My limited experience: I stuck a client's iPhone 5 on the small non-cable lightning adapter, and managed to make it "fit" in the IDOC, but it was bent and sticking out. Not a great "look" not to mention the stress that may have been put on the various connections.

Re: Quick Q. RMC-SCALER and TX-201-C

And actually something I was completely blissfully unaware of until recently -- the DM-MD6x6 and DM-MDx4 provide PoDM without any external hardware.

But also note that neither a DM-RMC-SCALER-C nor a DM-RMC-200-C can be powered via PoDM -- both require more power than can be supplied over the 8G cable and thus require local power supplies under all circumstances.

Yes. Only a DM frame will inject power (assuming you have a POE injector)

To clarify, ?A TX -201 can be powered by POE using the injector at the DM or DMPS or locally. ? A scaler can only be powered locally and not POE.

Re: OT: need a new hobby?

Went to an event last week where they delivered product to local Kickstarter backers. The system actually is very impressive - it appears to be solid, and the UI is the best I've seen yet for configuration and interaction with a zigbee/zwave ecosystem.

<cips><FONT size="18" color="#ffffff">S$1?</FONT></cips>

I have also tried this:

<P align="center"><FONT size="12" color="#000000"><cips>S$1?</cips></FONT>?</P>

Neither of these produce any results. I have tried deleting the object and creating a new one and still no good.

Does anyone have experience with this issue? Can you offer any solutions?

rm-200-c Relay

gsusmood

Had to pull out from a DM-6x6 this box. We replaced a RM-100 so the customer can open a Garage Door. ever since we installed the switched lockup in a matter of minutes and or Hours. we called TB a lot. stretch up all trouble shooting possible. at the moment we swap for another RM-100 the switch wont lock up. so we had an spare cable and run that relay to the AES. At the moment TB don't know what maybe causing this, but when we put the same RM-200-C in my boss DM it works like nothing happens.

Re: Quick Q. RMC-SCALER and TX-201-C

Yes you need to provide power to both unit.

Re: Wifi Recommendation

Or did moving the WAPs to another room actually help the Ruckus, since it was then able to use beamforming to focus the radio energy in one general direction, towards all the devices, without worrying about 360 degree performance?

The video was interesting, but there is no way it wasn't biased. Ruckus WAPs were the only ones featured for product close-ups, and there was a huge Ruckus logo on the screen at the end.

I'm a Ruckus fan, but there was definitely some sort of sponsorship involved in that video.

--- In Crestron@..., Nathan Hesson <nhesson@...> wrote:

I take issue with only one thing in this video. The gentleman states that
Ruckus' beamforming feature isn't "fair" so they put the WAP in a different
room to remove the feature. While I understand why, it seems like a poor
reason to discount the feature. I would have like to see the test done
again but to put the WAP in the room and see what happens then (I'm
guessing Ruckus would blow them all out of the water, again).

These have been posted before but they're a great read if you're curious
about wifi performance and why not all WAPs are created equal.

Re: DMPS 300 output

I see 2 likely issues:

1: Projector does not like 1600x1200. The projector is simply not capable
of this. The manual will state the projectors capabilities.

2: Marginal wire. You have a wire that is barely good enough to pass
1080p, but not good enough to pass 1600x1200. Believe it or not, 1600x1200
requires much more bandwidth than 1080p and therefore is much more
sensitive to cable quality.

Re: DMPS 300 output

Does the projector state it can scan that high of a resolution? If not,you would need to use a scaling receiver like the scaler-c and set it to the projectors native resolution.
