Re: Cameo Wireless Wallbox Dimmer Opinions?

That's funny, because I have the two large buttons on the one in my office and it drives me nuts.

When I install them new, I've learned to go around and give them all a good mashing to loosen them up a bit.

I feel like this is a big problem with the paddle button but not nearly so
much if you replace it with the two large buttons. Still not perfect
perhaps but better. I'd be interested to hear if you feel otherwise.

Re: ENCOMPASS MV2 Muzak Control

I wouldn't count on it. The MV2 player however does have a web based control site. It is a centralized control site that gives instruction to the player when it calls in to the central servers at Muzak to receive its music and playlists. If there is anything else you would like to know about this player, let me know.

Yes, you´re right!

Re: Cameo Wireless Wallbox Dimmer Opinions?

Infinet ex has been very successful/stable for me.

Only thing to watch out for is that the dimmers CANNOT get backlight engravings like the similar C2N-CBD-P cresnet keypads can. So make sure you don't promise the light switches will have backlighting like we once did.

Or if you can use the keypads instead they are more flexible.

yeah, sorry about that. I was working on an extron system earlier today, and totally spaced out. I forgot that the toggle symbol needs to be linked back to the feedback input for that button in order for it to latch high.

I've used plenty of them and haven't really had any real problems.

I dislike how stiff the buttons are, especially when they are new. Lots of missed presses when you just tap it on the way by. The one in my office doesn't press at least a third of the time.

First of all, is ATC-AUDIONET able to have full control of Slacker radio,
including BAN and FAVORITE functions, popularity, etc.? If not, what can
it
do?

I read some stuff about users controlling Squeezeboxes and Sonos system
with Crestron, but I'm a bit reluctant on that since it's third party
stuff
that is not directly supported by Crestron, device or control module we
can
buy. Beside, Logitech Squeezebox is been discontinued for newer products.
Is it a safe way to go?

I'm also wondering if there's any way to acquire a url streaming
directly,
or to build our own control module to command Slacker via http command or
else. Anyone has a hint on how to start this, if it's viable?

Finally, since the goal is to have centralized control for Slacker
accessible on any Crestron-software device (Touchpanels, iPad, Xpanel),
anyone has a global design idea to share?

Thanks for your suggestions.

Re: Controllable Pandora Options

I used the controlworks module. It works great. Very responsive and their
module made it very simple to deploy. I'm quite happy. The only gotcha was
the control port on the oms is 80, not the standard 9000.

Re: Cameo Wireless Wallbox Dimmer Opinions?

We use lots of them, no real complaints about the particular model.

My complaint about the line in general is that the '-P' models use white LEDs and the '-E' models use an uglier green LED, so if you use both side-by-side it looks funny. Breaking visual uniformity between similar products like that kills me.

Re: Cresnet bus

Hi Chris,

Do you mean if the Y and Z have been crossed?

If you have two processors on the Cresnet, ONE of them will be on address 02 and the other MUST be on a higher address (in order to make it a slave). If they're both on 02, then they will BOTH try to take control of the Cresnet bus, and fight over the Y and Z lines. I'd be surprised if you'd see any Cresnet devices in such circumstances. At best, I'd expect very intermittent/corrupt responses from slave devices.

If one is a master and one is a slave, the slave will sit with its transceiver in high Z (i.e. listening to the bus) and you just won't see it if the Y and Z are the wrong way around.

If the master has Y and Z reversed, again, I think you're looking at a very quiet Cresnet bus as none of the devices will respond.

To be honest, I think off-site diagnosis is going to be inconclusive.

All the best,
Ol

Re: Cresnet bus

If you have 2 processors on the same cresnet bus and both are set up to be the primary processor you will see cresnet devices appear and disappear on the bus as they assign themselves to one processor and then the other.

So, you can get a pretty good idea from offsite if that is the problem if you can poll the cresnet.

Re: Roku 3 module posting

Just a FYI.
I tried yours last night with roku stick and direct stations work perfect. Arrows and Ffwd work some of them when stick is in my oppo103. Most don't work when plugged in to onkyo 818AVR.

But direct stations and feedback from those work great!!
