Re: Tandberg C40 Module Help
This has proven to be a very frustrating experience trying to get control of this codec. I've turned off the password requirement and still no control. Kinda beaten my head up on the wall with this one. I see communication flowing back and forth but the unit will just not respond to any commands, like it is ignoring them. I know I'm missing something very fundamental as I am working with 2 units and both work the same.

Not familiar with that particular unit - what format/syntax do the power commands use?

Christie Solaria Series 4K CP4220 control
I have a beautiful Christie here, not having any luck swithcing inputs.
I am talking to it, power on and off, but formatting the string to select the 'channel' and input are escaping me. There are four 'channels' programmed to the projector, I am attempting to access channel 12, utilizing the DVI-A input. Called Christie, not much help. Anyone play with one of these yet? |

I just went through this dance with Panasonic tech support a couple days ago - for this very particular model, no less.

Their (expected?) tier 1 support response: "No - we are not aware of any protocol available for Ethernet control of this device". That was the second response. The first was "No - we're not aware of any software that will control this device over Ethernet", despite the fact that was *not* the question I asked. :( So, good luck with that. If you take it on, I hope you can get further than I did. - Chip --- In Crestron@..., "solentelectricalservices" <pgrahamsley@...> wrote:

Re: Panel Join Numbers
You could receive and capture the serial data into your PC or into another control system like a QM-RMC.
I¡¯d prefer going into another control system but it doesn¡¯t make that much difference. Tray From: sebastian marszalek Sent: Tuesday, September 18, 2012 11:41 AM To: Crestron@... can see who in my house keeps hiding the peanut butter in the fridge. Everyone knows peanut butter goes in a cabinet. Real world a contact closure for the door would be nice to send to touch panels if the fridge was left open and then an email if it's open for more then 10 minutes. And If the fridge monitored internal temperatures alarming on temp spike would be nice too, especially for our clients who have beach houses, if the compressor dies and you Leave the door closed to the fridge, when you get back in 4 months your greeted with the most horrific smell ever to start your summer vacation. It smells so bad you can taste it. Sent from my iBerry On Sep 18, 2012, at 11:05 AM, Heath Volmer <hvolmer@...> wrote:

Parsing Ethernet Data from Onkyo receiver
Ive been working on a module for my onkyo tx-nr708 to give me all the ipod info on touchpannels as well as support touching each line to select an option. that all works pretty well as the data comes in pretty small chunks. when i use the same method to parse the network data comming in to use pandora or other streaming services the album art causes everything to go crazy. im not real familiar with any programming language but ive managed to get it to work 100% through serial and am looking for help making work through ethernet. pandora feeds the album artwork out over ethernet not serial and its to much data to fast for my programming to handle. does anyone know how to handle this type of data? if possible id like to even use it to display the same album artwork. this is all being done in simpl+. im just looking for some direction of how to handle and or store this data. thanks in advance.

Re: new template from Customcode crafter
It is nice. Some things I don¡¯t like.
1 The page layout is a bit too busy. Not the template¡¯s fault of course. 2 On some of the subpages, the header text is hard to read against the speckled background. For the sample image, I¡¯m referring specifically to the Ceiling fan and Shades subpages. 3 Inactive source buttons on the scrolling list are hard to read. Contrast is too low. I¡¯d remove the opacity for inactive source buttons. 4 OK, this is a nitpicky thing but I¡¯ll mention it anyway. The light source for the graphics is inconsistent. Sometimes its center lit as if the light source is behind the viewer and sometimes its lit from overhead. 5 Personal preference, I don¡¯t like the swooping overlay on top of the sources scrolling list. It makes the icons even harder to see. That¡¯s just my preference, sometimes less is more. Things I like 1 the post it note is a cool idea. Even better if it can fetch those from an external source. 2 Weather subpage is easy to read. 3 Contrast for the controls is generally good and easily read even with non-bold text. 4 Tabbed interface combined with scrolling list. I like... Tray From: gsusmood Sent: Tuesday, September 18, 2012 9:32 AM To: Crestron@... Subject: [Crestron] new template from Customcode crafter HEy guys I just notice they aded this new template: .
