Both residential and commercial, but I would especially like some extra material for the residential market.

The "overall solution" depends on the integrator, so Crestron is intentionally vague and leaves most of the marketing of SPECIFIC functionality up to the dealers.

Re: Trying to migrate away from D3 for lighting.
I can see your point about D3 not providing the best in VTPro integration. To be honest, I don't usually land touchpanels on the lighting system side of things. I typically use D3 like brianrcs explained, modules for custom logic and separate processors.

Re: iPad retina display with crestron mobile G
What I'm curious about is whether or not there's any visual benefit to generating the VTP file at the 'retina' resolution, and/or if its even possible for the existing MPG app to display a project created with that resolution?
I opened up an existing tablet project and increased the resolution to the new spec, so it's at least theoretically possible, but unless you're running VT Pro with a similarly high resolution display, it'll be a pain to edit.

There was a rather unfortunate over site in the CRESTRON programming that limited the Touchpanel keyboard to 20 characters.
It can simply be expanded by editing the following:
Name: ATC-AUDIONET TouchPanel Interface v1.1.cmc Symbol: S-3.2.12.10.4 Full IBM Keyboard(cm) Change parameter "Max Characters < 50, from 20 to something 50 or less
Save as a user umc file. Replace each instance in your program of the old cmc with your new umc. This will work for both a Simpl or SystemBuilder program, but a future update of the SystemBuilder would likely revert the progrmaming back to the old.
Either-way, you unfortunatly have to rebuild the program. Doing it this way should prevent other unintended changes.
Let us know how you make out
