Re: Best practices for managing multiple users using Crestron App #s #bestpractices #crestron #crestronapp

Have multiple IP IDs and instances of the Crestron App in your program, and have each user use their own IP ID. All will use the same UI loaded to the processor.?

Re: TSW Flash

I have changed 1050s/750s into 1052s/752s by writing an image I was able to pull from a xx52 panel and using Win32 Disk Imager. Ive done like 5 or 6 and never had to do anything with a mac address.?

Chromecast Control

Hi,

FireTV Control

Best practices for managing multiple users using Crestron App #s #bestpractices #crestron #crestronapp

Good morning guys, I hope you are keeping safe!

I'm currently working a project that has a very intricate GUI design (Crestron App) being driven by SIMPL Windows logic. But it just occurred to me that all of the users using that same Crestron App would have their GUI change pages and subpages based on other people's actions (if being used at the same time of course).

So what's the best practice there? have 1 Crestron App declared on SIMPL Windows for each Crestron App user and have separate logic driving that? What's the proper solution to this?

How many Web Pages projects can a 3 series processor handle? What about the small ones like the RMC3?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Q-Sys Gain Block Metadata

Does anyone know how the Appllication Market Q-Sys modules are able to scale volume feedback based on the max & min levels set in Q-Sys Designer?
I don't get any response when requesting metadata (cgm). Q-Sys tech support says there is no metadata for the gain block, which surprises me. Is there
a way to get the max & min levels?

Re: Looking for RS-232 Commands for TV LG OLED C8: Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc.

Hello,

I can't help you for Netflix and other high level services. Maybe you can try??there are extra commands listed and one of those may work, as there is a Netflix direct access touch on new LG remotes.
For RS232 control, you can get more in term of feedback:
- the acknowledgement gives you the real value in the data fiels;
- you can ask for status, for most of the commands, by using FF as data in the command. this is explained on page 3 in your documentation "Transmit 'FF' data to read status of command", you get the feedback in the DATA field of the acknowledgement.

Re: Looking for RS-232 Commands for TV LG OLED C8: Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc.

You should get the LG 2018 module working again by downgrading SIMPL to 4.11.06 and DevDB 115. DevDB 116 was pulled because of the issues with CCDs and if you don't need to program a 4-Series I would recommend not updating to SIMPL 4.14.xx.

That is definitely the case for the Sony¡¯s. ??

The rs232 and simple ip control doesn¡¯t have the capability to launch apps. ?

Hope you can work it out for the lg. ?On the Sony I had to write my own simpl # to send http commands. ?

Hmm, if this was the case, I am back to the IP module that is currently broken. Unfortunately, I am missing the knowledge to fix it. My recompile attempts keep throwing this error message:

I don¡¯t know about LG webos sorry.?

On Sony you need to send commands directly to androidTV to launch specific apps via http requests. ?Maybe webOS has a similar high level API?

My fallback has been to use IP control via the LG 2018 Ethernet v1.3.umc module I got from the Application market. Sadly, the latest SIMPL seems to have broken the module (DLL) and is no longer usable.

As an aside, is my understanding correct that the TV's feedback via RS-232 is limited to simple acknowledgements of the sent commands? ...And with IP it's only slightly better (power state, and input).....and no query commands?

Thanks!?

Re: How to control Lutron Lighting or system using Crestron Rmc3 processor #crestron #crestronapp

If it's a Homeworks QS system, you can use the protocol manual. But it's much easier just to use a Lutron-provided module for Crestron that integrates with Lutron. Using the module, you don't really care about the protocol - it's all handled for you.

You can pick up the Lutron module from the .

I control my QS system with TCP/IP. It's super easy, no separate wiring, etc.

Re: FIFO S+

Give the "SerialStringQueue.usp" file I just uploaded to modules folder a try. I haven't tested it, but I believe the general mechanics of what you will need are there.

FIFO S+

JK

Dear All,

?
Can someone help me to make a priority queue in S+?.?

Please see the attached screenshot. My requirement is if any input button is high at the first time the corresponding serial text of serial_IN$ need to go out to Serial_OUT_1. Next, any other Input button high, then the serial text of that particular string to Serial_OUT_2 (Like first in first out). Suppose if? ?Input button_2? low, then the serial_OUT_2 slot needs to be empty and need to move the below Serial_Out$ one step UP. Actually need to display dynamically the serial text on the touch panel in queue order based on the button press sequence.
?
I am not expert in S+.just learning only. I spend the last three days on this but no luck. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated. If anyone has a similar module please provide for reference.
?
Regards,
JK

Re: How to control Lutron Lighting or system using Crestron Rmc3 processor #crestron #crestronapp

Well which is it? WIreless, or HomeworksQS?

Have a look at the Lutron Integration Protocol. Everthing you need to know is in that document:?

If it's wireless (RadioRA 2?) then you integrate using the RadioRa 2 Main Repeater (page 29), if it's Homeworks QS, you integrate with the?HomeWorks QS Processor (page 49).
