Re: Water Main Valve Control

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

I've used Watercop motorized valves on my homes for over 20 years.? They make valves for residential and commercial buildings with pipes up to 4" in diameter.

That last one I bought was 15 years ago and it still works just fine.? The one I have doesn't have any fancy AI leak detection features.? It is operated using 2 relays (1 for open, 1 for close).? These are wired to relays on my ELK alarm system and if any of the water sensors in my home detect a leak the ELK directly shuts off the supply of water to the house.? Through integration of the ELK alarm system and my Crestron system I can also leverage other logic to control the Watercop.? For example, once per month the Crestron system exercises the Watercop valve so it doesn't get frozen by mineral buildup over time.

I expect they now have valves with smart leak detection built in but my 15 year old one is still working just fine.

Hope this helps

Jay

Hi All,
Has anyone found an integratable Water Main Flow valve that you've had good experience with?
FloLogic has started to be big in the luxury home market but there's no integration (And it's pricey!)
I remember being super excited when I saw the product from Hero Labs at Cedia ~10 years ago, designed by some former Crestron Integrators, but it seems that they got bought and only currently available in the UK, not the USA...
?
Would love to hear peoples' ideas on this...

Re: YAMAHA RM-CR

Hey @Crestron_Programmer_84,
?
Did you ever get around to finishing the module? If so, are you willing to share?
?
Thanks

Re: D3Pro maintenance mode

I am surprised it lasted this long.
?
I am not actually a D3 hater (although I have cursed it out many times over the years)!
?
I did a lot of work in it for 20 years and despite the quirks and bloated code, I still have systems from 2004 running on PAC2/D3.

RIP D3

D3Pro maintenance mode

Edited

Today I open the page of the D3pro software, and I see this tag:
?
Effective March 31, 2025, Crestron D3 Pro software will be transitioned into maintenance mode. For more information, refer to?.
?
?
Seems D3pro will be obsolete soon. I didn't thought this will happen, at least for a few years more. In fact the article was lounched since Jan 29 2025.

Hey David, we install DSC systems also.? I'm wondering if you have any more information in regards of how you configure BOTH alarm.com and run Crestron Home over IP.? My understanding like some here has been that you cannot have both devices communicating.? I also was understanding that communicating with alarm.com requires a unique card.
?
Appreciate your response.? Thank-you,

Stupid mistake on my part, address book was set to ctp instead of auto for some reason.? Thanks to everyone who responded.

Connecting directly to the gateway, it will show you all the things that are currently acquired in like groups. You can right click on individual devices or the group and get different choices of things to do.

Re: Regarding simpl windows module for Poly G62

You can use the standard module often and can change it. Its much easier than create it from scratch.

Re: Sony STR-AZ7000ES: Back To IR?!?!

A little late to the party on IP control on Sony ZA receiver.? I would be interested in your test program.? Spent a lot of time by myself and with Crestron support but have not managed to get working with SIMPL windows.

Re: CHV Tstats and RTS/RTHS sensors

Occasionally this has happened to me where I went back to site and was surprised I did not need offsets anymore. But I would say rare if I did my initial calibrations to HOBOs properly.
?
Any difference in environmental conditons (solar gain, etc)?
?
Sometimes winter/summer can be totally different offsets which can be a total pain for those really oarticualr customers.

Re: Routing issues with control protocol cp3/nvx d30

For posterity sake, always check firewall logs... turns out i'm an idiot and my cp3 had its router at the firewall, so it was never hopping to the switch router ip, icmp was passing because i have that globally configured internally

Re: SIMPL Module Input Signals

Maybe add True/False parameters to the SIMPL .umc for each of the input signals and then use those parameter settings to connect feedback only for inputs that are defined "True".

Re: Routing issues with control protocol cp3/nvx d30

yeah i can plugged straight through at the cp3 line, good suggestion, the switch config is pretty straight routing, i wonder if there isnt some block with cip on separate subnets in the cli?

Re: Network Device Tree Missing Devices

Sorry, I miss spoke. Gateway diagnostic tool is correct.
You should be able to connect directly to the qwexer.
They aren't the most stable device.
Try information tool to make sure it is on the network.
Also, you should update to the latest firmware as it is much more stable with newest firmware.

Re: Routing issues with control protocol cp3/nvx d30

if your PC is on.10 subnet (ideally plugged into the CP3 port ), can you connect to the NVX units and manage them? If not, maybe your switch trunk port (CP3) needs some configuration adjustment to get the control data to pass through.19 subnet?
