Re: Issues with D3 and program generation.
I'm at a loss.? I got to my desk top that hasn't done any updates in a month.? Have the same issue with the file from my laptop.? So I opened and did a save as of a previous version from 6 months ago and tried to build it and D3 does the same thing.? So it isn't a hardware issue.? I tried rolling back D3 and that didn't help.? It is almost as once it happened to the file and I tried building on another machine that it corrupted D3 some how.??

Issues with D3 and program generation.
Not sure its a crestron issue.? D3 worked fine over the last couple of days.? Today my Dell laptop updated its BIOS and I am now having an issue with D3 program generation now.? D3 goes through the entire generation till the very end, just before compile, and shows "Completing Program Generation" then changes to "Program Generated Incomplete" and generates a second simpl file in the programs folder.? Program_Name_incomplete.smw
Anyone ever scene this?? Any idea what I should look at in bios that might cause this issue.? I went back to the original program that I did a save as of and tried to build it and had the same result.? All crestron programs are set to run as admin.? I'm noticing that because it stops before compile that the simpl program is not being saved again at the end of the generation process either. |
Re: DirecTV HR-44 IR Control
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýI have had Emitters that even though the LED Lights they were not working.. May want to try another one just fro grins.. I hope its a known and trusted one you have used before. Doesnt hapen very often if you have another device in the rack add that to the IR port and verify the emitter controls that device. Simple quick check to see if it is emitter or something else.. Oh Also if they have a USB IR Capture you can use verify that the emitter is triggering what was sent. Just food for thought On Jun 1 2024 10:51 AM, David Aiello wrote:

I would look into the emitter. Make sure it is the only emitter on that port. How's looking is the emitter wire? Is it picking up noise? We changed from a Crestron IR emitter to an IR emitter that flashes visibly. Try a different ir port. Try a it port on a different device, like a NVX? We did try changing to IR port 2 of the DMPS no other devices like NVX with IR ports to try. This is the only IR controlled device in the design so this the only emitter. Good advice, Thx! At this point I'm hoping it is simply an IR addressing issue which has not been verified. |

If that works, I would look into the emitter. Changes polarity, replace with a different brand. Make sure it is the only emitter on that port. How's looking is the emitter wire? Is it picking up noise? Try a different ir port. Try a it port on a different device, like a NVX? |
Re: DirecTV HR-44 IR Control
Yes, I want to check this. Unfortunately, this projects DTV receiver was delayed on the original installation, and we are now using a local sub to help us sort this out while we work remotely with him. I was aware of this function but at the time did not have the manual linked above to have the local tech dig into that. I only found a manual that described turning RF to IR. Although this might not account for the captured code working from the USB learner and not working from the IR file in SIMPL. Thanks for the detailed instructions!

Re: DirecTV HR-44 IR Control
check to see if the receiver is on a different IR code set. DTV has up to 8 different sets of codes you can use, if someone changed it you might need to change it back to the default 1.?

Re: DirecTV HR-44 IR Control
It was set to IR as shown in the manual, and after the Crestron database IR files did not work, we captured the menu IR command with the Crestron USB IR learner from the remote. Testing it from Toolbox with the USB learner directly worked. However, when the captured IR code file was added to a SIMPL program the command would not work. The wired emitter was a visible light emitter so we could see it was transmitting and it was moved around the DTV receiver to find the receiving eye. The controller is a DMPS3-4K-350. At this point we may try a Crestron Certified driver for IP control or get DirecTV to bring out a different model receiver.?

Re: Mitsubishi mini split and Crestron Home
Get a CoolLinkHub and CoolPlugs (CP-ME)
The Plugs can run wireless or wired(modbus daisy chain), and get powered from the indoor unit. One Hub. One CoolPlug per each Indoor Unit. Home would talk to the CLH via Bacnet. I actually work for CoolAutomation now, in full disclosure, but this is the best solution out there. I used them as an installer all the time... ?https://coolautomation.com/products/coolplug-coolinkhub/ |
Re: D3 Scheduling squashed with latest DBs again???
Seems like this is also an issue with 2-Series processors as well where you need to rool back DB.
https://community.crestron.com/s/article/id-1001850 Do 3-series with older DBs work? I typically will use a DIN-AP3 before a 4 for many reasons, especially with D3 replacement jobs... |
Re: Route NAX AES67 audio to NVX analog output
To update, I finally got this working, using the settings below - after also changing the Audio mode to "Extract" instead of Insert.
