Re: 120volts to trig 347Volts solution
What you require is called a three phase "contactor" with a 120 volt coil. ?I am assuming that 347 volts is three phase, I not familiar with your power system in Canada. the American company Square D mfg.'s then in the states, but it is a common item. Confirm that the 120 volt coil on the contactor is with in the amp rating of the Crestron switch. I'm sure it will be well within the limits.

Re: NewOld.csp error in complie log
I just had the same problem. You need to update your SIMPL as well. I updated both the Crestron DB and the Device DB but did not update SIMPL and got the exact same error. Updated SIMPL to 3.01.22.00 and problem solved. HTH Robert On Sun, Feb 20, 2011 at 8:15 AM, slip.cougan <slip.cougan@...>wrote:

Over on AVS, there was discussion that the W5000 was being rebadged as a Sim2 D60. Try that protocol, serial specs, pinout.

So did we, before we switched to Rena A&E. Cartell's box is larger, and you'd need to custom wire 2 of them (and call them to get the wiring diagram) in order to do directional logic. We've been much happier, and haven't had any failures whatsoever. We buy the AX2-4-2C. (10-35v AC/DC, 2 connector, fail safe). It just works.
Directional Logic (Model AX2DL): The Model AX2DL's directional logic feature uses the Channel 1 and Channel 2 loops to determine the direction a vehicle is traveling. The loops must spaced such that the vehicle can span both loops. The expected installation is two loops, one after the other in the same lane, spaced anywhere from overlapping to 6 feet apart.
When a vehicle travels from the CH 1 Loop and enters the CH 2 Loop, the CH 2 Relay and LED activate to indicate the AB direction.
When a vehicle travels from the CH 2 Loop and enters the CH 1 Loop, the CH 1 Relay and LED activate to indicate the BA direction.

Hi,
I'm stiil a beginner in programming SIMPL
I've found the module on google code. I compiled it with SMPL+ and can see the module in SIMPL windows
I also paste the module under the logic and assigned the required parameters such as IP address, tcp port and some singnals
The TCPIP_Connect input I triggered with entering the Squeezepage on Touchpanel.
But if i pressed for example the play button nothing happens on Squeezebox
If I need a TCPIP Client to configure, how must I make the connection between the client and the module ?
I can see in the debugger, that my button press goes out, but no tcpip communication seen

I have found the root cause of this error. I have a page with three subpages. I have digital join numbers on the first and third subpage. However, if I add a digital join number to the second subpage I get the error message. It does not matter what join number I give it. Whether the join has a associated command within my program or not the error still pops up. I have rebuilt the page a number of times and initialized the device a number of times to no avail.
Any thoughts?

The users tend to start pushing buttons to turn on the projector, connected via a dm rmc 100, before there is communication throu the switcher.
Is there a feedback signal in the switcher that lets you know it is ready so I can trigger a warming up message on the m50?

Anyone have a module for serial control of this projector or documentation/protocol. Benq is very hard to reach so any help would be appreciated.

Lutron IP control module stops communicating
I thought I read a thread on here a while ago about others having this problem, but I couldn't find it when I did a search. It seems like the Lutron<->Crestron TCP communication will simply stop after a while, and since the module is using direct sockets through SIMPL+, it's difficult to troubleshoot what the problem is.
The module will eventually reconnect again, but I can't seem to figure out what triggers that to happen. I'm running 4.001.1012, and I've seen this on multiple projects.
Is anyone else experiencing this?
Is there anything I can do to monitor the traffic of the direct socket connection, other than eavesdropping with WireShark on the port? Especially remotely?

Is the Time column in the Real-time log the actual time that the command or event happened or is just the time that the log record is being written.
i ask because i am not seeing a time lapse for a Delay of X seconds that I have put within the Display Power On glbl preset.
I also do not see an expected .5 second delay between my turn on pulse (upped from .1 to .5) and the auto generated display input command sent by SB.
for that matter i do not see any of the delays in the current version of sb and my recollection is that they used to show up.
My Actual issue is that the darned panel is not being turned on anymore via my program. Note that it will turn on if i execute the preset manually while in Real-time trace.

Well it is by definition work for hire.
I agree with mr mjrtoo2000, why is a huge reason. Are they upset about the work you did? Are they leaving you? Do they want a backup seeing as there has been a slew of companies closing their doors? How are you supposed to learn from an experience if you don't ever find out what you are doing wrong.

I would view the replication of the system as falling outside of the license. Whether or not A) I'd ever find out and B) be in a position to and/or want to do anything about it is another matter.
Some sort of 'replication fee' would seem appropriate.

Gentlemen
I recently began working with a commercial dealer programming small conference rooms (Picture an MPS-M5, DVD, PC input, and display - very small). They took my advice and used a cookie cutter approach for future conference rooms.soon one room turned into sixteen, and it looks like there may eventually end up being over a hundred implementations.
It has always been my policy (a policy held by many of you) that after final payment, the code belongs to the dealer. I've just never had a dealer plan to use one small piece of code in possibly hundreds of instances. I've sold modules on a per use basis, but (alas) none have been so wildly successful as to warrant a licensing policy. Thusly: Do any of you license on a per use basis? One well worded sentence added to my contract could mean a ridiculous difference in income from this dealer. That is, if I can get my head around the ethical issues (if there are any).

oddly yes it will. I had a a programmer before me do that, every time i would look at the source code I would have to remember it was indeed an 8x.
