Re: Roomview w/ Two Projectors

Sorry, I just saw the SE.? With SE you can add a few projectors (in the program by adding modules with different IP ID) and in SE in the room symbol area.? It won't show up in the overall rooms tab so you won't have a bunch of empty rows with just lamp hours, but when you click on the individual room it will show up there.? You can set how you want it to show up on the overall rooms tab whether you want it to sum or average or I prefer show the projector with the most hours(maximum).

Can't do?this with Express....?? Hope this helps!
?

Hello to all. It has been a long time since I posted and/or contributed to this
group. I hope you are all doing well. When the number of messages per day
started to seriously rise, I simply found myself unable to keep up. Plus my job
role changed and so I started doing less daily programming.

But, I find myself cycling back into a bit more programming lately and I have a
question that I hope you can help me with.

Long before RoomView was around, I had developed a 'RoomView like'
display of the status of multiple rooms using php hacked Econtrol 1. This was
still working for us (with numerous crutches), however we have begun to migrate
over to RVSE recently.

But one of the things that I was able to do with this was to easily accommodate
rooms with multiple projectors. The php would simply add a separate line for
each additional projector in a room. See a screen shot here:

For those who have deployed RV in a varied environment, how do you handle rooms
with multiple displays - not just graphically, but programmatically. I thought
about using multiple RV symbols but that does not seem like the best solution.
Most rooms only have one projector/display. If I add the info for second and
third projectors to the same symbol then it seems like I would end up with blank
columns for 90% of the rooms I monitor.

What about the Display Usage? I thought about sending the greater value of all
of the monitors so that it is still useful. But that assumes the same model is
used as lamp life varies from model to model. Same goes with the Display Power
field. Should I attempt to share it with an OR (meaning any display is on) or
recreate separate ones for the additional displays.

Any thoughts or ideas are appreciated.
