Re: OPC

I have from an industrial system. OPC is a Microsoft programming
model, OLE for Process Controls. You'll need a driver module written
for the Server (PC) side that will parse your Crestron
commands/reponses.

The tools aren't cheap. Matrikon OPC is pretty much the leader in
developing new modules.

You may want to look at going through LONWorks or BACNet/ModBus to
get to OPC. Crestron Europe had a vendor they were recommending for
LONWorks, just can't remember who, but I think Steve Swartzrubber
(sp?) may know.

Has anybody every heard of or worked with OPC?

We are going to be integrating with a custom HVAC system that
according the
system's designer will "act as an OPC master".

Is there anybody out there that could possible give me some
pointers?
