Re: Anyone have a CAGE2 for the AV2?
I got that CNX card off ebay for $46 total. From this, I thought I would be able to obtain a CAGE2 for a decent price.

If it turns out I can't find a CAGE2 for a fair price, I will move onto something else as you mention below... Don't forget that depending on you're fully-loaded labor rate, it couldwind up being cheaper to buy the Pro2 than buy the AV2, Cage2, and thenpay someone to remove all of the screws and install the Cage2 in the AV2then reinstall all of the screws. Not to mention that the Pro2 gives you loads of extras. Under thecatch-all phrase "Front Panel". It's an advertising tool. It's a support tool. It's a status tool. It'sa debugging tool. Back to the original poster, if there's not a cage2 in the processor andthe only reason you'd be installing a cage is for this one card, you'reprobably better off using the network device version. If you're determined to just use volume/tone control, the ST-VC isfunctionally identical to the CNX-VTC3 but it sits on the Cresnetnetwork rather than in a card slot. I'd still suggest going the VEQ4 route [though, full disclosure, mysystem at home has 2 ST-VCs because I picked them up uber cheap], inwhich case the network device is the C2N-VEQ4 (functionally identical tothe C2-VEQ4 card). -- Lincoln King-Cliby, CTSApplications EngineerControlWorks Consulting, LLCV: 440-729-4640 F: 440-729-0884 I: Crestron Authorized Independent Programmer-----Original Message-----From: Crestron@...
