I'm wondering if anyone else has seen a similar problem with this
plasma, and knows the cause, or a fix...
Via RS-232 (9600, 8, O, 1), it only responds to the Power On command.
Power Off doesn't work, and neither do any of the Input or Aspect
commands. I also don't get any feedback responses, not even a nack.
FYI, I'm using the NEC 42MP1 Plasma Screen Basic Controls.umc from
Crestron's website.
I've confirmed with NEC's tech support that it uses the same protocol
as the 42 and 50 inch versions, of which there are several on the
jobsite. If I take a 42", and plug the same serial cable into it, it
works perfectly. But unplug the 42, and plug the 60 back in, and
nothing.
Any ideas would be appreciated...
