Hi MQSACK,
Thanks
Unfortunately, I haven't done any sniffing.? If a product I'm
working with is having Zigbee problems I get the manufacturer
involved to debug/fix things.? That doesn't fall to me?
I did find an old SmartThings thread on this topic -
People there seemed to like the TI product for sniffing - which I
believe is still available.
I would think you would have to do this through HA and then use
the XSIG link between HA and Crestron.? So, you are essentially
using an HA hub as a Zigbee gateway for a Crestron system.? I
don't believe you have the ability to integrate a Zigbee radio
with a Crestron system directly unless there is one that is
essentially a Zigbee/IP bridge.
The risk I see is that Zigbee is a secure protocol.? So, if
Connex is using their own security key for communications then you
are going to hit a brick wall pretty quickly.? The simplest path
to success would be to replace your zone controller with one that
already integrates with Crestron or HA.? You may have to do that
anyway if the Connex's Zigbee messages can't be sniffed and it
saves you the cost of the sniffing hardware.
Hope this helps
Jay
