Hi,
so after some time of testing I found that my TSR-310 which made trouble is faulty. Not sure if one of the drops to the?
floor damaged the WLAN modul or something but I really only have issues with that one and this one was working?
before.?
So I got a new one and now I have two TSR-310 which are working fine all the time. So it was not an WiFi issue.?
@Chad,
I believe you were writing about the audio devices in systems with different VLAN, not the remote TSR-310.?
That's not a big deal because the NAX systems do have 2 network ports which can be separated. So you use?
port 1 for the connection to the user VLAN for Airplay, Connection to the internet etc. and Port2 for the connection to?
the audio/nvx streaming VLAN. With that you have all the multicast traffic in one VLAN and the connection of the?
mobile devices and internet on the other.?
Yes there are possibilities to route Airplay, Spotify Connect ect. across VLAN, but we really try to avoid that. We had systems
running fine and after time, maybe changes by Apple or what ever it was not anymore. So we try to put all these devices?
with such connections into the "user/mobile devices" VLAN. And yes ISP routers are not able to do that, but if we do the?
network in our projects we use NetGate Pfsense firewalls and manageable switches. So we can handle the VLAN and the?
communication between those, but avoid to route Streaming across VLAN.?
About the Crestron Home side, yes and no. You can setup on which subnets the Home controller should search for devices.?
So if you have a firewall which allows the Crestron home controller to access different VLAN, it will work even with Crestron?
Home. But yes you need a firewall with the ability to allow that communication across VLANs.?
