The real tests in any multicast deployment is not the number of outputs but rather the number of inputs (and number of switches and the handling of multicast between them) ¨C in theory a completely unmanaged switch should be able to do 1:HowEvermanyPortsTheSwitchHas-1
(Not that I would suggest this). On the other hand, a 3:1, generally, would present a higher load to the switch because the switch still has to receive and process the traffic from all three encoders even if it doesn¡¯t get forwarded anywhere.
I have it running at my house as a test and it seems to be doing great so far. No issues to report as of yet. Doesn¡¯t seem to break a sweat handling 1 input to 3 simultaneous outputs. I¡¯m running it on a 48 pro Poe.?
