Let me explain the problem, I have spent hours trying to resolve it, but without any success.
- CP4N with router Version3. - Cisco Catalys 9200L - 11 NVX encoders and 11 decoders (a mix of models)
The main network (lets call it Control Network) has the touchpanels, some monitors, dsp, etc, and the subnet it's used only for the NVX devices. Each of the networks has their own switch.
The problem starts when I connect the NVX switch to the control subnet. After 20 or 30 seconds, the main network (the control network) drops. If I do a constant ping, it only receives som of them. At the same time, the NVX network Works perfectly
- Tested two different processors (all of them Version3) - Tested two different network switches.
- igmp is disabled in the processor. Anyway, I have tested it changing this option and others in the inside router. - the problem started in the moment that multicast was configured in echa of the encoders. - There are more rooms like this working perfectly for a few months in the same building, so I'm sure the switches are correctly configured.
