The last time I did any integration with NewBlue, I used their custom API option to create a websocket from NewBlue back to a Crestron processor. I used the Control Concepts WebSocket Lite on the Crestron side since I didn't need anything fancy there. On the NewBlue side, you have to write the Javascript to open the socket, and do any parsing back into their internal API. Once I figured out how to put the pieces together, it worked well for our application. This was driving data from a ringside TSW panel at an MMA event.
