FYI there is no such thing as a 5 or a 6 way circuit, you only have single, 3 and 4 way. On a 4 way circuit, both end switches will be 3 way switches and everything between with be a 4 way.
If you look at the wiring diagram of the HZ dimmer/switch it expands how Crestron expects it to be wired in each scenario.
I do remember reading somewhere that Crestron suggests a max of 8 aux dimmers in a circuit.
