Hello.
in a museum we have a PRO3 and a PC with an XPanel. The PC also is used as a remote access for troubleshooting.
The service call mentionned that the XPanel was showing "disconnected, trying to reconnect"
When I log into the PC remotely, all the settings of the XPanel are OK, toolbox can discover the PRO3 and the other Crestron touchpanels but I can NOT access the processor via system info and a connection via putty is immediately rejected.
I can connect into the touchpanels without issue. I can ping the PRO3 from the PC.
I changed the IP address of the PC to another and same problem.
We then had a employee from the museum connect the PRO3 to the PC via USB
I can access with toolbox via USB, everything seems normal, no IPs blocked, everything in the iptable is connected and running but the XPanel.
Surprise, I can now connect via IP too !
Until the customer disconnects the USB cable...
Is there any magic that I don't get? I can connect by IP only when the USB cable is connected.
