Refer to the "Voice Control: Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, Josh.ai, TSW / TSR" article.
See the section titled "Amazon Alexa: Enabling Crestron Skills and Discovering Devices."
Note that "Alexa, ask/tell Crestron..." commands require the 2nd skill called "Crestron Home Automation" to be installed.
Then see the section titled "Default Voice Command Syntax for Controlling Devices" for verbiage used to recall the scenes.
- Recall Scenes?- Alexa responds - "Recalling the <SCENE> in <ROOM>."
Use for custom commands - Drive SceneName$ signals from SIO/MSEND; can be changed during runtime.
-
- "Alexa, ask/tell Crestron to recall <SCENE> in <ROOM>" (ie "morning scene in kitchen")
- "Alexa, tell Crestron I want to <SCENE> in <ROOM>" (ie "unlock door in front entry")
- "Alexa, tell Crestron I would like to <SCENE> in <ROOM>" (ie "watch?a movie?in the family room")
- "Alexa, tell Crestron it's time to <SCENE> in <ROOM>" (ie "sleep in the bedroom")
++ Then see the section titled "Tips and Tricks."
Keep in mind that configuring custom Routines phrases in the Alexa side of things is often a better route.
Routines offer much more elegant and short simple phrasing, but SIMPL scenes offer more complex behaviors.
