¿ªÔÆÌåÓýJust to be clear, the 4-series processors are much faster (and truly multithreaded which can open its own set of challenges for ¡®bad¡¯ programming)¡ but the speed of the CPU/RAM/etc. in the processor has nothing to do with the software tools running on your PC which are bound by the PC¡¯s CPU/RAM/thread prioritization/etc. (and it wouldn¡¯t surprise me if the 4-series compile is marginally slower than a 3-series compile on the same HW just because there¡¯s a little more to do, but I haven¡¯t benchmarked it. ? -- Lincoln King-Cliby, CTS, DMC-E-4K/T/D ? [Edited Message Follows] Cannot say I've notice any issue trying to open multiple instances of SIMPL -- even with the version of SIMPL that came out last month.? But instead of double clicking the SIMPL file to open it, I always open it by right clicking it and
selecting Open.? And when task switching between SIMPL programs, I just hoover my mouse of the SIMPL icon on the task bar and select the program I want to switch to from there. |
