¿ªÔÆÌåÓýJust to add to the data points¡ ? I don¡¯t multislot that frequently outside of my house for a few reasons, but one project in particular there are 4 very cleanly divided ¡°wedges¡± including things that are core functionality applicable to all rooms, functionality that is conceptually similar but completely different on the hardware side and things that are relatively unique to specific rooms or don¡¯t apply to other rooms. ? I¡¯ve gotten in the habit of putting all of the ¡°Type X¡± logic in the same slot, meaning that of the 4 slots used 1 is always there for the ¡°core¡± 2, 3, and 4
may or may not be there based on the room in question. This also makes it easy to pick up functionality and move it to a different processor when needed (couple use cases: one room was a ¡°takeover¡± where there was already a CP3 wired with AV control ¨C rather
than pulling the CP3 just put the AV logic on that processor and skipped slot #3 on the PRO3; much more niche-y: During COVID the client decamped to a facility that allowed social distancing but had a site to site VPN to their permanent home.
? Needless to say¡no issues related to skipping slots or moving something that was in a slot to a separate processor. ? -- Lincoln King-Cliby, CTS, DMC-E-4K/T/D ? From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]]
