Oh, and bonus question:

What?s the preferred solution for wireless push-buttons?

?

Hi Jay,

?

i did some testing yesterday (incl. your Crestron modules) and i?m pretty impressed.

I?d prefer to have them in client mode rather than in AP mode by default since it adds an extra step to the configuration, but overall it seems to be a very nice little device.

However, i?m still a bit skeptical about using wifi because it?s more prone to interference compared to other ¡°traditional¡± wireless home automation standards. So what?s your experience on that?

?

Next week, i?ll integrate one Shelly at my friend?s house for testing to get some real world experience myself.

?

Cheers, Thorsten

Just a few weeks back I wrote a detailed article about Shelly IoT relays.? One of them could probably handle this very easily and the relays are small enough to go in the box with the outlet itself.? And, I've already written the Crestron-Shelly driver modules for you.

Hope this helps

Jay

Hi,

i?ve got a (resi) client who would like to make a standard EU 230V power wall plug switchable via Crestron, wireless.

I think the best way would be to have the wall plug switchable via relais in the power distribution, but what do you do If that?s not possible?
