I?d prefer to have them in client mode rather than in AP mode by default since it adds an extra step to the configuration, but overall it seems to be a very nice little device. However, i?m still a bit skeptical about using wifi because it?s more prone to interference compared to other ¡°traditional¡± wireless home automation standards. So what?s your experience on that? ? Just a few weeks back I wrote a detailed article about Shelly IoT relays.? One of them could probably handle this very easily and the relays are small enough to go in the box with the outlet itself.?
