The form factor was the worst part of the MC3 ¨C and something they corrected really well in the MC4,

The MC3 is taller than a single RU, an odd width, no viable means of rack mounting besides putting it on a 2U shelf¡ 1/8¡± connectors for IR¡ bleh. MC4 on the other hand comes with a rack kit that only takes 1RU or can be flat packed behind
a display or under a table really easily if either of those float your boat.

It does seem that its been a little abandoned but given that it (as I understand) is a considerably different architecture than the following 3-series processors doesn¡¯t really surprise me. TBH, I¡¯m surprised the MC3 wasn¡¯t retired along
with the introduction of the MC3 or DIN-AP3-MEX

Yeah, the MC3 has been discontinued and the last FW was 2 years ago...
It was never fully a 3-series IMHO (sorry Toine!), though a very nice form factor...
They didn't release an update for the MC3 processor??
