I am upgrading a friends whole house audio, video and theater with Crestron as much as possible. With that said, I have not done residential in awhile and not certain of current products. Upgrading wireless network to Ubiquiti Pro.
Here is what I am looking for:
1. Blu-ray player with IP or RS232 control (my thought is Sony UBP-x1100ES, was going to use OPPO but out of business)
2. Equipment rack surge protection (Richard Gray Power, APC, TrippLite etc.)
3. Equipment rack power conditioner
4. Whole House surge protection (I have only used Leviton but thought about Richard Gray Power HouseGuard if still around)
5. Audio Streamer with Pandora, Spotify, etc. Interfaces with Crestron. I am specifying a Swamp24x8 with Swampe-8 for whole house audio.
5. Projector: 4K, compact (bulkhead is 20" deep) IP or RS232 control
6. Doorbell to alert customer on their phones but also interface with Crestron, wireless and solar powered preferred. Front door has CAT5 but side door only 2 wire. (2N, Ring, Doorbird etc.)
