This isn¡¯t directed to you personally but it¡¯s amazing how thoroughly and completely Crestron messed this whole Sonos integration up. ?I¡¯m pretty forgiving of the roller coaster that is sometimes Creston but this has been a mess since day 1. ?You guys went out of your way to tell everyone of the ground breaking partnership with Sonos by sending out emails and advertising on the website but it has LITERALLY NEVER WORKED RELIABLY. ?Patch after patch, upgrade after upgrade has never fixed it. ?I¡¯m really getting tired of eating crow with client after client trying to convince them that this will be the last time it breaks...the last time it will leave them hanging...the last time they will have to pay for a serivice call to fix this. ?Under normal circumstances this is a pain to deal with...but nowadays we are fighting for every job and every client and this Sonos nonsense isn¡¯t something we should have to be worrying about right now. ?You guys are partners according to Creston, ?these things are tested all the time to prevent surprises right? ?A team of people in both companies ¡°partnering¡± to ensure that things stay reliable and predictable right? ?Part of the Kool Aid we drink and the rhetoric we tell potential customers is that Crestron is ¡°better¡± and that its the ¡°most reliable¡±. ?We tell them that they don¡¯t ?want Control4 or Savant or RTI or Elan because Crestron is supposed to be the premier brand. ?Failures like this are one of the big reasons people don¡¯t come back to Crestron again. ?The system could otherwise be pefect but they¡¯ll never forget how we had to be back a dozen times to reset their processor or upgrade a module to make theri Sonos work.
