Than, the other issue is, what if the instructor leaves the classroom and goes to different one, and forgot to scan the code. Now he is controlling previous classroom. Or student comes to the podium, scans the code, and gains control over the system.?
Crestron Active Directory integration on the processors sucks, so that's not an option for access control.
I just recently experimented with what I called "sanitary control" and one of the ideas, was to host the faculty XPanel, on the processor web server, display the instructions on how to connect to it on the podium panel, but do not take away the ability to control it from the podium panel (just in case someone decides to use it, and than sanitize their hands... simple, isn't it? ;) When faculty member pulls up the XPanel on their browser, random code pops up on the classroom panel. Faculty member has to enter that code on the faculty XPanel, or it can not be used (pop up subpage with keypad that goes away if code is matched) Than the random code is re-generated every 15 minutes, and displayed on the TP to assure nobody stays connected to the system after leaving the room.?
