So I am working on programming two different Tascam units and each unit has commands missing in the RS-232 protocol specifications.? The first is a BD-MP1 Blu-ray player.? I got all the functions to work except they do not have any commands for the menu navigation up,down,left,right controls.? My work around for this was to use CEC controls and that worked.? The second unit is a CD-400U media player.? On this unit I got all functions to work except fast-forward and rewind or as some call it search forward and search back.? These commands also seem to be missing in the RS232 protocol booklet I printed from Tascam.? Really Tascam these are some basic functions of these units.? I like Tascam products but I must say I am not happy that you are missing basic RS232 commands.? I really do not want to go IR just for two commands on the media player.
Anyone know something I am missing?? I have looked through the protocol booklet front to back over a few times and can not seemed to find them.? I am ok with the Blu-ray work around but an hoping for something better on the CD player.
Any other ideas are welcome.
