IIRC, no there¡¯s no way to talk to the console directly in S+, You¡¯d need to use a console symbol in SIMPL and pass that to SIMPL+.
?
You¡¯re probably getting the redirect because in the latest 3 series firmware, they shut down CTP.

I had a host name module working that would use sockets to connect to the console at 127.0.0.1. with port 41795 and grab the host name.?
I now get a REDIRECT:Connect to Secure Port 41797.\x0D\x0A.
If I set the port to 41797, nothing happens.
is there a way to connect to the console through s+ now?
