Wire control of Haivision Stingray2?

Hi folks,
We're trying to directly control a Stingray2 from a CP3, using the CP3 IR out to the Stingray2's 3.5mm IR jack. We spoke to Jack Welsh over at Haivision, who confirmed that it is an IR extension jack, meaning to remotely locate an IR receiver bud, and didn't see why it wouldn't work straight from the CP3. But, no love so far. Anyone tried this and gotten it to work? I hate IR buds... Thanks, Jeff -------------------------------------
