Cue Lincolns talk about the 2.4 spectrum allocation in his house.

A 2nd gateway would be a fairly inexpensive option too.

Steve is correct -- not although "tinkerer" is a bit more friendly than "cheapo" which may be slightly closer to the truth ;) -- if I could justify the cost of replacing the PRO2 with a PRO3 and the CP2E with a CP3 the tinkering would be wholly unnecessary and the question would be moot.

But as those aren't quite available, much less plentiful at the prices I'm willing to pay (e.g. around 1/8 of dealer cost in the case of the PRO3) I'm left going for the ball-o-twine-and-duct-tape ideas...

Initial tests (using the current Pro2 program with a Cresnet EX gateway dropped in) are not promising but at least not catastrophic -- gateway shows up at the proper ID and all of the devices defined in the lighting program continue to work as expected but the MLX3 defined on the PRO2 Cresnet instance of the gateway just plays dead -- no update requests show up in console, no feedback shows up on the remote...

So it seems my evil plot has been foiled by the gateway and I'll just build an EISC over to the CP2E for the MLXes...

I think you guys are missing what he's asking. Lincoln is a tinkerer who loves to try things that are out of the norm. He's asking if anyone has connected the gateway to one processor via Ethernet and also to a seperate processor via Cresnet (which wouldn't require 2 IP table entries). I'm sure we'll hear back from him soon regarding whether or not it worked :)
