Doing some more digging it looks like we might need to install a plugin on the switcher to enable comm for this model¡ but I¡¯m also still confused about how a cable with nothing connected on one end is generating replies ¨C but the installers have sworn that it¡¯s the right cable each time I¡¯ve asked. I've done several Sony
EVI-H100 cameras via RS-422 on 3 series processors. It works well, but I do
seem to remember needing to wire TX & RX +/- reverse polarity of what I had
expected. Check your pinout and try flipping things around. I can at least
confirm it does work once things get sorted out.
