Re: Version Control

Yeah I use it mostly for applying comments and versioning than any merge requirements. I do a lot of AMX too which it works really well with.?

The GitLab front end is nice. Will look into Redmine though.?

Everyone else just seems to use Dropbox these days and never updating version numbers. The amount of complete projects out there on a v0.x number I see is staggering!

We use SVN with a Redmine front end.

Source version control is step 1.? Project source management is where it really starts to come together, hence the Redmine interface that allows project organization, issue tracking and assignment and all kinds of other features.

Also, careful with Git and SIMPL source code.? Git can be implemented as a central repository model (like SVN) and it will be much more successful. Distributed repository structures and Crestron can be a nightmare since merging SIMPL/VTP files is virtually impossible.

Just wondering what everyone else uses?

I use git and have my own server running GitLab.?
