Are you sure the baud rate etc are correct?
RS-232, auto-detect baud rate, no parity, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit, XON/XOFF disabled, RTS/CTS disabled?

Hi, I finally was able to get the MC2W from my friend to test the program, but when I connect to it, toolbox and Simpl Windows says that is connected but I don't get any info from it, and if I try to load the program from Simpl is saying that "the device doesn't support the required capabilities for this dialog to function" I was trying to download the firmware but can't find it anywhere, any suggestions??

Why not tell the dish box to auto-tune to the channel he wants at 2:59am?
If you really want to do it with Crestron, use a Past symbol and make sure you have a clock driver in your program.
The mc2w has no Ethernet for web time sync, so the time can and will get out of sync. You will need to connect to the unit now and then to sync the time other your pc.
