Re: DVPHD control

Thanks guys, this is my first DVPHD and I think I get what is going on here...

As far as the system goes, it will not be used as a touch panel as the main output feeds a projector.
A DM switcher feeds the inputs of the DVPHD.

So, lets say my scenario is two have two states, full screen or two images side by side.
I would then create a Vtpro-e project that has 2 pages, first page would have a full screen window drawn on it (set to full-screen), with an analog join of 1.
The second page would have two windows drawn on it side by side (set to 4:3), with joins of 2 and 3 respectively.
If I want to see a full image, I then send a source value to join 1 (10d - 80d), and 0d to joins 2 & 3?
If I want to see two images on the screen, I then send a source value to join 2 (10d as an example), and a source value to join 3 (20d as an example), and finally a value of 0d to join 1?
When the window see's a value of 0d it knows that it is then inactive? I'm not sure how the DVPHD knows what window format to output (1x1, 2x2 etc), unless my above assessment is how it works?

Thanks again ;)

Don't use the demo or the OOTB pages. Create a project in VTPro, make a page, draw a video object on it. When you do properties on that object, you'll see that you can assign an analog join to it for various things, including which input it uses as a source.

Of course, it's FAR easier to have an external switcher driving the inputs of the DVPHD - define your windows with static sources, and let the router determine what is displayed in which window. This way you don't have to worry about accidentally attempting to display the same input in two different windows...

Trying to make sense of how to control the DVPHD, it looks like it should be fairly straight forward but a few things don't seem to make sense.
I have got the demo program and would like to do the following.

Select a window configuration ie 1x1 (single image), or 2x2 (two images side by side), I would then like to select which input should go to those windows.
From what I can tell, 10d (input 1) - 80d(input 8) selects inputs, but what join on the DVPHD symbol do I send these to? ie which join relates to which window 1 to 8?
In the demo program it kinda seems like analog fb 1 - 8 could possibly be windows 1- 8? This part has me a little confused...

Any guidance is much appreciated, this cant be hard, I'm clearly just missing something simple.
