Re: Ruckus Wifi Products

You might look into using someone like Access Networks to help you deploy your first system. They will design the network, spec the parts for the right coverage, and pre-configure the equipment, plus provide excellent support.

You can sign-up to become a Ruckus partner reseller, which will give you a price discount when ordering direct, otherwise you will probably end up paying full retail from one of the various online vendors, and have to mark it up from there. The requirement for being a reseller is to purchase a non-resellable controller and a couple APs (I forget how many) as a demo/test system for your office/showroom.

In your project you are spec'ing, are you looking to do 2.4 and 5 GHz bands, or just 2.4? The 7341 is great for 2.4 GHz only systems, and the 7363 is great for dual-band applications.

Hello All,

I'm looking to possible start using Ruckus Wifi priducts based upon the
opinions I have heard from many of you here. Currently we use Pakedge and
generally just set them up for roaming wifi. We are currently looking to
deploy a wifi system in a house that is roughly 25k square feet with
concrete first floor. The layout is fairly open. I'm trying to figure out
what Ruckus product to use to avoid handoff delays from unit to unit and
figure out which actual units to use as I'm not familiar with the line.
Also what is the typical markup with their products and do they offer direct
dealerships to AV industry? I thank you al lfor any help.

Jason
