As I understand Studio is heavily dependent on Microsoft SQL server and
will install a "Lite" version if (as most people using workstations) you
don't have an existing SQL install.
Since you say that that's where the install locks up, I suspect it's
either a problem with installing the SQL server instance or creating the
database/schema and my questions are...
a) What OS are you running?
b) Do you (the user logged in when installing Studio) have Admin rights?
c) Do you already have any flavor of any version of Microsoft SQL server
installed on your machine?

Studio appears to be installing correctly until it gets to the point
where it says it's starting the data base. Then it gets hung up there and
