So we have a client who's had a number of DTV boxes working just fine with the USB/RS232 dongle.
We did not configure the system originally and are a bit unfamiliar with controlling them this way.
Long story short, 1 of the boxes was having some kind of trouble and a Direct TV tech came out the other day & fixed whatever the issue was. Problem is this box is no longer taking RS232 commands.
Is there some sequence of "mounting" the USB dongles to these boxes. I'm wondering if the DTV guy perhaps did some kind of a factory reset which may have wiped out the connection to the USB dongle.
All the other boxes are running the same firmware and have taken their firmware updates with no incident.
Any help is appreciated.
