¡°Since 1996, web archives have become almost immeasurably large repositories of cultural heritage. The Internet Archive¡¯s Wayback Machine, for example, has hundreds of billions of unique URLs and over 57 PB of data (and other collectors such as national?libraries?probably have about the same again, combined). The problem thus may not be that we haven¡¯t collected enough data, but that we struggle with what to do with it all! In this talk, I will explore some research use cases for web archival data, and explain what we have done in the Archives Unleashed project to try to ¡°unleash¡± web archival collections for research use.¡±
