I contacted Mark and will be purchasing the Comutacar. I'll post pictures when I get it of that and my 76 citicar which I've been meaning to post but haven't had the chance. The 76 should have the motor back in it and brakes finished by then

In case it wasn¡¯t clear, that¡¯s how you do it if you¡¯re logged in to the website at groups.io. I assume you can also attach a photo to an email if you¡¯re using email instead.

Peter, I never recorded the guy's information I bought it from. I don't think I even worried about a receipt and didn't think the previous owner was important at the time. He got it to restore but never did anything with it over the years.

Your June 1974 built CitiCar is the 117th built and left the factory as an SV/36.? However, many of those early SV/36 C-Car¡¯s were upgraded to SV/48¡¯s by just adding two additional six volt batteries to increase the top speed
from 29 to 34 MPH.? ??

Got to sell my 80 commutacar??
Not sure if I can list this here but due to some medical problems, I have to sell my 1980 Commutacar. I don¡¯t know if anyone on the group lives nearby or is interested. Currently not running. Missing motor. Still has original contactors. Body is in pretty good shape, interior is very nice. Batteries were all purchased in 2918 but I¡¯m not sure of their condition now. Would be great to put a new motor and electronic speed control in! 610-850-4673 with offers?

Many of the early 36v C-Cars were upgraded to 48v by local dealers around the time the factory started producing the SV-48. Dealerships may have put the badge on to reflect the upgrade.? Tom Keenan

I took a look at the original charger I just removed and it says 48V. Must be an SV-48 with a 36V motor.

Count the battery terminals, divide by 2, multiply by 6V and there you have it.? You could also see how many physical spots, battery hold down sets, etc. that you have.
