Another option I've been keeping an eye on with lithium is Roypow lithium.? The golf cart guys have been liking them, with integrated Bms, warranty and easy hookup. I haven't heard them mentioned here before.?

?Hi Roy and All,
Nice but a few details.? ?I'd never break up a Volt module or not run coolant in a CCar.? Just get a single 2 48vdc section Volt module stock and wire the 48vdc sections in parallel.? You can damage them by splitting them too.
?Only the 4kwh module can work this way as the 5 and 7 kwh modules have 24vdc section in them. You can get 48vdv but you'd need 2 of them for a minimum of 10kwh with 2 5kwh modules making the Ccar a long ranger.? ;^)
A 4kwh unit will give about the same range as the 8vdc battery Ccar gets as lighter. And peppier to boot.? Every EV I've switched to lithium from lead has been nicely faster acceleration.?
Next they don't need a BMS.
They put out 1k amps/module with 2 48vdc sections in parallel? that is 2k amps so you are not going to hurt them.? .
I'd buy a 48vdc, 650 amp controller as far better suited for a C car if not going to a higher voltage as needs the amps.? The stock contactor controller is about 1k amps.?
?I use a 48vdc power supply set for 49.2vdc for charging. For faster charging the stock lead charger with a timer.? Combine the 2 and set the timer to shut of before reaching full charge and let the PS take it to full charge.
Note the shut off switch is likely a 12vdc marine unit and shouldn't? be switched off at full power like a shorted controller. That is what the contactors are for and? a correctly sized fuse that will pop with full power and heavy braking.??
