Good progress! The waviness in the paint is because the C-car
designers neglected to crown most of the panels. Nothing can be
perfectly flat. You can't design a flat plastic (or metal) panel with
a shiney surface and have it look right. So almost all large panels
are crowned just slightly so that they reflect light in a pleasent
way.

I guess I'll kick things off with an update on my Citicar. It is no
longer mega-seventies orange, but a more modern dark metallic
green.
This came after months of body work, because I had to graft on a
new
roof, and fix several cracks and holes (many thanks to Scott Hull).
All that is left is to install the controller (upgraded curtis 1205
500 amp), batteries (8 Trojan T875 8 volts) and fix the tires and
lights.
Here is a picture of its current state: (It's all the same color of
green, those lighter spots are reflections, something we're not
used
to seeing coming off a citicar)
It should be up and running in the next few months.
