AND FINALLY

The very sad news today was the demise of Thomas Cook, the world’s oldest travel company. Our thoughts are with those affected & in particular the company’s employees. Thomas Cook had been in trouble for a few years, but this time failed to manage the great escape again. At present, Condor & Thomas Cook Balearics are unaffected, but how long this situation will remain is unclear.

According to the CAA, it has chartered 40 aircraft to undertake the repatriation of holidaymakers to the UK under the name “Operation Matterhorn” & Gatwick saw the first few arrive today. The operation should last until around 6/10.??
