BEAT Config: check ISPAccountName

#bpqconfig
Hi, running at least the beta of 2025-03-03 in the configuration panel of the corresponding linmail.cfg the field SignoffMsg seemed to be projected also to ISPAccountName. It is fixed (thanks a lot for the coding!) in beta-version 6.0.24.68 (32 & 64 bit / 2025-03-17) but possibly needs to be checked at your system. 73 - Jochen Here with wrong data:

binding a usb serial device
16
Ok I have a question and I have tried creating a /etc/udev/rules.d/99-usb-serial.rules and while I do see my symbol link I am unable to select it in the QtSoundmodem app. What do I need to do to get ttyUSB0 defined so that if it is moved the system still assigns it and the port config will work Thanks Rob

ARDOPCF and QtSoundModem?
21
I think ARDOPCF uses "hw:1.0" and QtSoundModem does also. May I 'unconfigure' my 'AX.25_A' modem in QtSoundModem and configure ARDOPCF to use "hw:1,0 Channel_A" or similar in its place. It would be very nice to be able to run AX.25, IL2P, and ARDOPCF on one radio and 3 kHz band segment. 73, Chuck

Hello group, Is there a way to make a beacon broadcast possible in FEC for advertising a PACTOR connect in BPQ? Something thought me to first search for a similar topic but couldn't find one. ;-) Best 73' Jan PA3GJX

Problem with template
2
Hi dear john I've tried using custom templates but I've found a few problems: the first: I load an image into my template with the following code <img src="{FormFolder}inc/logo_63.png" alt="Logo 63" width="60%" /> The text is converted into a url that seems correct but the image doesn't appear. If I copy/paste the link into the browser, the browser tries to save a file the second problem: When viewing a message with the template, the message is displayed in the template but the tag {FormFolder} is not interpreted and replaced by the required part of url These templates work perfectly with winlink express 1.7. Adding port number in BBS log
5
John, is there a way to add the port number from which a connection is made in the BBS log? If I had the ability to extract by port number it would help diagnose some things. For example, I would like to see the log for all my Vara connections, i.e. Port 5 and not all the AXIP port connections. So, just having the port number in there we can extract what we need through grep or whatever. Thanks -- 73, Mark, N5MDT Montgomery, Texas http://n5mdt.ham-radio-op.net:52852

BBS Error not connecting on all our linbpq nodes with latest 2 versions.

I recently upgraded to the .65 linbpq version and I am receiving reports that they cant connect to our BBS. It would just disconnect if connecting via the node to BBS or directly to BBS via alias or calling. This is occurring in all of our linbpq. Multiple Port APRS Digi different WIDE configuration
2
I am Digipeating APRS traffic in two different frequencies. I was in the impression this would work with this configuration but I am seeing port 4 digipeat beyond WIDE1-1 like port 2: * APRSDIGI APRSCALL=NP4JN-11 APRSPATH 4=APRS,WIDE1-1 APRSPATH 2=APRS,WIDE1-1,WIDE2-1 BEACONTOIS=1 DIGICALLS=WIDE1-1,WIDE2-1 DIGIMAP 4=IS,4 DIGIMAP 2=2,IS,4 GATEDPATH 4=WIDE1-1,WIDE2-1; GATEDPATH 2=WIDE1-1; ReplaceDigiCalls MaxTraceHops=2 ; Max value of n in CALLN-n processing. If a packet is received with n greater than MaxFloodHops=2 ; this, the value will be replaced BEFORE it is decremented. I would like to achieve the following Digipeating (GATEDPATH from IS to RF is fine): PORT 2 WIDE1-1,WIDE2-1; PORT 4 WIDE1-1; Thanks Heber

Vara Minimum Bitrate Suggestion
3
John, is there a way to either set a minimum bitrate level in a Vara port, or connect script, to prevent connections that go on for an excessive amount of time? And can the value be read periodically and a disconnect issued should the bitrate fall below the setting for more than x number of retires or something? Perhaps a future enhancement? -- 73, Mark, N5MDT Montgomery, Texas http://n5mdt.ham-radio-op.net:52852

WinRPR Oddities
3
1) The WINRPR driver works, but QtTermTCP shows the same (Rx) color in the monitor for both transmit and receive. I don't see that on any other ports. It's a minor but strange thing. Despite not showing the right color for transmit, the radio does get keyed, and transmit works. 2) When advised to try the KISSHF driver, I did, and the correct color is displayed in QtTermTCP for transmit, but the radio is not keyed. My current port is as follows. When I change to use the KISSHF driver, the line DRIVER=WINRPR is replaced with DRIVER=KISSHF, and the KISS related parameters are un-commented. PTT is handled via CAT commands. BPQRemotePTT and com0com are running on a Win10 desktop with WinRPR. LinBPQ communicates with WinRPR over the network. PORT PORTNUM=8 INTERLOCK=1 ID=WinRPR, INFO for details DRIVER=WINRPR ; QUALITY=0 ; FRACK=6000 ; RESPTIME=6000 ; RETRIES=12 ; MAXFRAME=1 ; PACLEN=60 ; TXDELAY=300 ; SLOTTIME=100 ; PERSIST=128 CONFIG ADDR 192.168.200.6 8001 PTT CAT FORCE ROBUST ; RP Only USEAPPLCALLS ; Accept connects to all APPLCALLS Z 0 ; No Flow Control Y 1 ; One Channel E 1 ; Echo - Restart process needs echo BEACONAFTERSESSION ENDPORT The pertinent rig control statements are as follows: RADIO 1 Remote 192.168.200.6:8500 YAESU FTDX10 HAMLIB=4532 LinBPQ sends CAT commands to WinMorControl on the Win10 desktop including the command(s) for PTT. That works not only with WinRPR & the WINRPR driver, but also with QtSoundModem and VARA. 73, Lee K5DAT

SCS PTC-IIIusb Settings Help
10
I can connect to some BBS with Pactor, but I have a new neighbor that it is not playing well with. The strange thing is that I can connect just fine to him with Winl2K. I have set the FSK and PSK levels to match what I have figured out in WL2k, but still no joy. I get one green decode light, then it is all red from there out. He is plenty strong here, and that is why WL2k connects right away. I can connect with the same settings using my TS-590s, but not my FT-710. With WL2k this radio works fine to connect to him. Any more parameters that I should be aware of? Here is my port config: PORT ID=Pactor Link COMPORT=7; COM Port Address SPEED=57600; COM Port Speed DRIVER=SCSPactor INTERLOCK=1; ; Optional - set if you have two portssharing the same radio. ; Set the same Interlock value on both ports. CONFIG ; Driver-Specific Configuration APPL RMS ; Autoconnect to BPQ32 RMS Application ; RIGCONTROL ; COM2 19200 ICOM IC700 70 ; 4,14.103,USB,F1,P123 ; 4,14.112,USB,F1,P123 ; **** PSKA 90 ; PSK TX Output level. FSKA 90 ; TX Level for FSK modes. # If you wish to use any packet ports, you will need to set suitable ax.25 param, for example: PACKETCHANNELS 10 ; Enable Packet Ports PAC TXD 1:250 PAC TXD 2:200 # if you are using a Dragon, uncomment the following ENDPORT -- Thanks, Chris Maness

New version - fixes Account Name replace by Signoff Message in the ISP Interface configuration
I've uploaded new versions of LinBPQ and BPQ32 to my Beta site and github. These should fix the problem with the Mail ISP Interface configuration. It also sorts the Routes lists and adds a prototype for an AXIP status page at /Node/AXIP.html in the management interface. 73, John On 13/03/2025 07:17, John G8BPQ via groups.io wrote: Thanks, Yes, I'll be doing the Linux version today. 73, John On 13/03/2025 01:17, louis rioux via groups.io wrote: Thanks John, Everything works again¡ great! Might be a long shot but can I replace bbsusers section from bpqmail.cfg
2
All I might be looking for something that is a bit much. Is there anything available that I could use too import the BBSUSER section from the BPQMAIl.CFG file Or can I just take the BBSUSERS section and move it into the the file and then go back in and adjust any of the entries for SYSOP .. etc Just would be easier when bringing up a backup BBS to make sure there were no errors Thanks in advance Robert Cartier kd1jg@...
