Netrom Node updates
Hi all
?
sorry if this is a repeat, i did some looking around but did not find anything that seemed to apply.
?
new to linbpq, i have a working instance and a port for a kiss tnc that is sending messages over a radio to another node (uronode), but i don’t seem to be getting ?and decoding node lists to from my other node.
?
is there a trick to get netrom to work over my one existing radio link…..
?
i even tried building a port for netrom and bridged to my async port…..
?
thanks

开云体育If you set QUALITY on a KISS port config, and don't set NODESINTERVAL to zero you will send NODES broadcasts. But I think you are saying that you are not receiving NODES messages. You don't have to do anything to enable reception, so I is likely the other end isn't sending them. I'm afraid I don't know anything about uronode.73, John On 15/12/2024 16:55, Bob Scan via

开云体育Thanks John, we haven’t talked since early Pitnc days:)The QUALITY parameter seems to have done it! I am now sending node broadcasts! Is there a parameter that controls the ttl value of node info shared to adjacent nodes or is it always set to 1? Regards Bob ? ? 开云体育Sorry let me ask one more question….. do nodes only advertise adjacent nodes in their node broadcast message, or all nodes they know about? If the later is there a parameter that controls what gets advertised? Thanks again Bob On Dec 16, 2024, at 4:53?AM, John G8BPQ via groups.io <john.wiseman@...> wrote:

开云体育You send all the nodes in your Nodes list that have a quality equal to or above the MINQUAL parameter on the PORT config. The nodes that get into you nodes table from other station's broadcasts are controlled by the MINQUAL parameter in the main section of your config. Nodes broadcasts are sent as UI frames so don't have a TTL. 73, John On 16/12/2024 15:00, Bob Scan via
