Jean Yes, it just needs a telnet application to the ip / tcp port that dxspider uses. 73 Steve? On Sat, 22 Feb 2025, 18:32 Jean L¨¦tourneau via , <ve2pkt=[email protected]> wrote: Good day, |

This intrigues me because I am always trying to enhance our local system. ?I am not a DX chaser so only know of DX Spider from the wiki. Is this really as easy as adding a line to the BPQ applications or do I need install some software? I¡¯m currently sysop for a BPQ packet system operating on a PI 4. I can probably figure out what to install and how to install it but want to avoid spinning my wheels. WB9TEN

it depends on if you want to connect to dxspider or host a dxspider server. connecting to an existing host is just using telnet from bpq to the host. hosting, on the other hand, is a locally installed and maintained server. (that you could also telnet to from bpq). similar to installing, setting up, maintaining the bpq program. both options would 'look' the same from the client side terminal program. good luck kb0wlf |
Finaly got it, users still need to log since their call is not carry over but I am happy of the result.
