Cannot make QtTermTCP executable
John:
FYI. This may be the problem? I recently upgraded to LM 20.1 ? On "Clem Lefebvre, head of the Linux Mint project, that Linux Mint 20 and beyond will drop support for 32-bit systems. The news comes on the heels of made by Canonical to drop support for the 32-bit architecture in Ubuntu 19.10 and Ubuntu 20.04 LTS, the latter of which Linux Mint 20 will be based on." Could find no way to add 32-bit binaries to LM 20.1 by searching 'Google' Roger |
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýYes, that seems the likely cause. But I'm surprised that a version that you build yourself on? a 64 bit system doesn't work. What does ldd show for that one? 73, John On 05/02/2021 16:04, Roger wrote:

Fyi in Ubuntu 20.04 I was able to follow the same instructions for older versions of Ubuntu in order to install 32 bit support:
That enabled me to run apps like LinBPQ and "XRLin" in Ubuntu 20.04 64 bit.? When I tried the 32 bit QtTermTCP binary it squawked about a missing qt5widgets file, so it looks like I'm missing a 32 bit qt5 library. What did work was to download the 64 bit binary from here: It's version 0.39, but it works.? So if a new binary of the latest version could be posted, that would be great.? :-) 73, Lee K5DAT |
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýLee,Can you try this? It works on the system I built it on? (64 bit Debian 4.19 using? Qt version 5.11.3) but I don't have any other 64 bit systems to test with. 73, John On 09/02/2021 23:38, K5DAT wrote:

John, Yes, it works fine in Ubuntu 20.04. Thanks! Lee K5DAT On Wed, Feb 10, 2021 at 12:49 PM John G8BPQ <john.wiseman@...> wrote:
