Re: BPQ32, IC7610, SCS MODEM, VARAHF
John My SCS modem is connected to ACC USB D! and to use the sound card in the radio it has to be USB D2 don't know if this? will help. Thank you for all your hard work Rich NS;7K ----- Original Message ----- From: John G8BPQ <john.wiseman@...> To: [email protected] Sent: Sun, 14 Feb 2021 04:12:05 -0500 (EST) Subject: Re: [bpq32] BPQ32, IC7610, SCS MODEM, VARAHF The code does not have support for the IC7610. I just checked my forward settings to K5DAT as well, and they were still set at non-binary.
I'm still searching thru my 210214_BBS.txt and find no instance of any BBS remotely changing my SID features, but afterwards from GB7YEW, WA6RZW, and VE3BWM, my BBS was responding with, for example: 210214 00:00:51 |GB7YEW? ? Incoming Connect from GB7YEW
210214 00:00:51 >GB7YEW? ? [BPQ-6.0.21.24-B2FWIHJM$]

Re: About some linbpq failures
Update - after I sent that last email I looked through forwarding settings and found that KE0GB, N9PMO, N3MLB and KD5LPB were also set to B2 for binary.? I changed them all to B1 except Rick's which I changed to remove all binary.? After checking less than an hour later, the settings for KE0GB and KD5LPB were already back to B2.? VE3CGR was also back to B2.? I copied another BBS log file after finding those settings changed, which is attached. 73, Lee K5DAT On Sun, Feb 14, 2021 at 10:33 AM K5DAT via <kilo5dat=[email protected]> wrote:

Re: About some linbpq failures
Logs attached.? I removed all binary from the forwarding settings for VE3CGR yesterday evening - not sure exactly what time. This morning it was back to allow binary checked and B2 checked.? So given the log is in UTC the change either happened late in the Feb 13th log or sometime in today's log.? Both are in the attached zip file. ¿ªÔÆÌåÓýThat should work. Where did you put it? - it should be in the Dragon port config after the CONFIG statement.73, John On 14/02/2021 11:49, Martin wrote:

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýI can't reproduce this. Do you have a BBS log showing what has happened between it sending the plain text SID and sending the B2 SID?Thanks, John On 14/02/2021 08:31, John G8BPQ wrote:

Re: About some linbpq failures
I have seen this as well - but so far with only one forwarding partner. He changed his side to B1 yesterday, and I changed mine back yet again to B1 at around the same time. However this morning I found mine back on B2. I was on the .13 beta. Just upgraded to .24 a?few minutes ago.? Thanks,? Lee K5DAT? Any help with BPQ32 I am running a IC7610 and SCS modem and trying to use VARAHF
everything works great until I try and connect to the VARA part.? I am running the SCS modem on D1 and VARA on D2 it will not automatic change from D1 to D2 it still thinks it should be in D1.? If I change the radio manually to D2 VARA works great. I can send a copy of my config file.? Ray helped me get this far. Rich NS7K? |

This was taken directly from my BBS earlier today.? I've noticed the same thing?
happening to my system over the past few weeks but haven't determined which version it started with, but it did occur in 6.0.21.1: ?On 2/13/21 2:21 AM, vk2rz@vk2rz.#syd.nsw.aus.oc wrote:

Several days passed on addressing the above linbpq failure,
but no way to address it :(
Obviously, they don't know about the groups.io reflector, so I thought I would pass this on to you, John. I have all of my partner BBSes are set to forward here without any binary com- pression, but I noticed that some who do use either B1 or B2 compression is somehow forcing my BBS to change to their compression instead of staying at the default non-binary that I had chosen, even when my SID shows no? compression feature:??[BPQ-6.0.21.24-IHJM$] Is this something new or perhaps a bug in the code? 73 - Rick KE0GB |

Anyone have the latest upgrade command line process to upgrade to the latest? (after shutting down BPQ) From the directory where your pilinbpq executable is located: mv pilinbpq pilinbpq.bak wget chmod +x pilinbpq Then restart BPQ. If you normally rename the pilinbpq file to "linbpq" before running it, then the commands are a little different. mv linbpq linbpq.bak
wget mv pilinbpq linbpq chmod +x linbpq Then restart. 73, Lee K5DAT |
Re: renumbering
The only way is to set Max Message Number (in Housekeeping) to a bit above the number of messages on the BBS and then run housekeeping. Remember to set it back to normal afterwards!
