Re: Winlink Gateway question
Ok. My Winlink account is PY1XTA and my CMSCALL is PY1XTA-10. This is my application line: APPLICATION 3,RMS,C 5 CMS,PY1XTA-10,XTARMS,255 All Winlink connections works fine. Really don't understand the dll error msg. Em qui., 26 de dez. de 2024, 18:23, Mark Taylor via <mtaylor=[email protected]> escreveu:

Re: Winlink Gateway question
The CMSCALL should probably not have a SSID.? It normally is your base call but depends on how you registered at winlink.org.? When you log into your account at winlink.org do you use just your call or do you use your call+ssid? How do you log into your account?
?
If your Application line for your RMS application gives the call as PY1XTA-10? you do not have to use PY1XTA-10 as the account at winlink.org,? your account could be just PY1XTA.
?
I would not have RELAYAPPL=RMS while trying to trougleshoot this.
Comment out the line for now. If you find that you really do need it you can remove the comment.? How this works depends on your Application lines.
?
It might help to see all of your application lines.
?
?
?
Winlink Express has nothing to do with how your Gateway works in BPQ. Nothing to do there.

Or, you have a configuration where you are routing gateway connections through your user record Winlink check feature, although that is very unlikely.

But, I have never seen it report the error on the status window like that. So I could be way off.? Check those two things.

Re: Mercury?
I tried to get it to do anything mostly ARQ mode, using the mercury.exe (windows). I did not have much luck yet. Two things that are concerns for me. 1) It gets crowded around HF packet and it appears at this time it only does wide bandwidth, unlike VARA which you can force to 500Hz 2) I could not get the ARQ socket to bind to a tcp socket. The test system was windows 10. So I tried to reach out to the author to see what next. 73 N9SEO |
Winlink Gateway question
Hi folks. I have a RMS Gateway working perfectly well but this error always appears in BPQ32.DLL. Apparently it doesn't cause any problem but I would like to know how to eliminate this error report. "Wl2k Traffic Reporting disable - Gateway PY1XTA-10 does not have a Winlink Account" TIA |
Re: Mercury?
Looks interesting.? Have you had a chance to compile it and try it out?? I looked at this a month or two ago but was not sure if it'd get to release level. But it looks like it has. Well Im off to try it. With any luck maybe it'll work. 73 n9seo |

Re: ARDOPCF and QtSoundModem?
Wondering if anyone can help with my configuration to get VARA HF and QTSoundmodem to share a sound device.? I tried the John G8BPQ's .asoundrc config and only changed it for my hw:1,0 sound device since that's the device I need QTSoundmodem and VARA HF to share on my my Linux Mint machine.? Dmix and dsnoop are both installed.? But I can't get the sound device to share between VARA HF and QTSoundmodem.? They will each use the soundcard fine by themselves, but not when they are running simultaneously.? QTSoundmodem shows "hw:1,0" in its dropdown menu, which is the correct soundcard.?? Here's what running the QtSoundModem64 returns, , and below that is my /asoundrc file:

Re: Connection isn't recognized by QtTermTCP
I am seeing the same thing here. To connect to KC3SMW I have to use a digipeater. I see a connection response from KC3SMW but I immediately send a DM packet while KC3SMW keeps sending me a connect message until it times out. Here's the output:

The problem I had with connecting is *not* related to the callsign, maybe. Before I was going through a digipeater but now that I'm home I can connect directly, still over the radio, and everything seems to work correctly including YAPP. YAPP still fails when I am connecting to my BBS over telnet so I continue to troubleshoot that. 73, Eric WG3K FM18rp Packet: WG3K@WG3K.#SMD.MD.USA.NOAM E-Mail: wg3k@...
