Re: BBS Forwarding 40 held in a Queue

Alan

Is this forwarding on. GB7ESC to GB7ESC? You don't need to have a forwarding set for itself.

QtSoundModem Output

I may be above my pay-grade with this question, but will ask anyway.
?
I'm using a signalink and wondering if there is a "normal" output peak I should look for?

Subject: [bpq32] linbpq64 restarting about every 45 minutes

?

Good morning,

?

I am running linbpq64 on a Lenovo 93P micro with Ubuntu 24 as the OS, and am finding the software is restarting itself multiple times. A little background: I switched my node from a Windows 10 OS to Ubuntu 24 last night due to issues with Windows.?

?

Also, if anyone has a full linbpq32 package online, please let me know. I cannot seem to find a complete package on John's website.

Uncomment this line. This is the line that allows BPQ to transmit APRS on your port 3.
?
?
Add your APRS IS Passcode:
ISPasscode=8334
?
?
A couple of other minor things but those more familiar with BPQ and APRS can help you with those...

DIREWOLF RF Receive

I am currently using DIREWOLF, more more success with that -
?
Wondering when running linbpq (APRS) will the Direwolf terminal screen show RF rx? So far, just seeing my tx.
?
I appreciate the feedback.

Don,

Your initial message indicated that libQt5Widgets.so.5 was missing... try

sudo apt install libqt5widgets5

Re: Please do not re-write my @ARL bulletins to @WW

BPQ may not forward a bull addressed @ARL from the HR forwarding field. ?It will forward it to any station that has ARL in the AT column. ?Yes, the alias ARL:WW will cause BPQ to forward it as if it were addressed @WW without rewriting the address. ?
?
The big difference is that you will find many BPQ bbs sysops that will not bother with forwarding to non-hierarchical addresses. Many won¡¯t even realize a bull addressed to a non-hierarchical address is not being forwarded. Addressed to @USA.NOAM would give the bull the best chance of reaching the largest USA audience.?

of course that¡¯s just my opinion.?
